Mother’s Day Cocktail with Palm Beach Lemon Creamed Honey
Celebrate your mom by serving up the classic Bee’s Knees cocktail made with gin, and creamed lemon honey straight from the hive. It’s brightly flavored, delightful, and lightly sweet, just like mom. The recipe was whipped up at the Palm Beach Creamed Honey’s apiary just for Mother’s Day The natural, lemon-flavored creamed honey is fresh from the hive, locally made, with all the nutritious benefits of raw honey.
½ ounce honey syrup (see step 1 below)
1 ounce lemon juice (about ½ medium lemon
2 ounces gin
Lemon twist for garnish
Make the lemon creamed honey into a simple syrup. Simply use equal parts honey and water, heat up in the microwave for 10 seconds. The honey syrup mixes easily into cold cocktails. Left over honey syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
You can use your favorite gin. This cocktail also works with vodka.
Blend in a cocktail shaker with ice. Serve in a martini glass. Cheers!
